Not that I am averse to the former, but...

Spend on the driver - get safe and get seat time.

It's all about the loose but behind the wheel. Truly it is.

Charlie, op wanted the dream list. Took me a while to come up with it.

Of course this car has also seen 34 track days so far including open tracks of up to 6 hours per day in duration. Have to say that when you run with the OT crowd, it is all about what is in the car and tires as there are very few if any non experienced folks out there. But OT is the best with unrestricted passing.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Once I get more HPDEs under my belt I plan to give OT a try as well, but I'm far from it experience-wise at this stage.

You'll have one heck of a track car once you're done with it.

Since it is not a dedicated track car, I think I am done at least for this year.

The hardest thing to do is the suspension. Lots of trial and error and alignments, tire pressure changes, dampening adjustments. It is endless combinations to test and retest, depending on the track. Wish I started a log book for my settings much earlier. At least I know which general area to start and be pretty decent, more than I knew two and a half years ago.

Exactly right. You hit the nail on the head with that comment. Finding that out myself. I have good components but that's just the beginning. Tuning it for track and driving style/needs is what takes time to learn. And every adjustment made on one thing requires an adjustment elsewhere to balance it out and keep things in harmony.

Upgrading suspension components is the easy part. Larning how they work together and getting everything dialed in precisely is what takes time to learn.
