exhaust depot hard pipes

im looking into these since they are aluminum and thats what i wanted... have any of u guys tried it? are they good? do they give problems?.... cuz i read in the forums about the sound maker(the the factory bov) that if you take it off it will cause problems.... just wanted to make sure before investing... thanks

If you search "Exhaust Depot", you'll get 240 threads. A lot of good information there. They apparently make a downpipe that doesn't throw codes.

If you have an '09 or later 2nd gen MINI any downpipe will throw a code, not even with the gigantic cat Exhaust Depot used to put on the pipe.

I used to have the hard throttle body tube with the HKS SSQV. The fit wasn't exactly perfect (minor rubbing) and I honestly got a little tired of the HKS SSQV, not to mention random P115D codes from the HKS SSQV. The NM Engineering tubes are better designed in my opinion, especially on the throttle body side. There is no rubbing and the silicone elbows are perfectly formed.
