Drivetrain Torque Steer Fix Crosspost from JCW forum--applied to an "S"
Torque Steer Fix Crosspost from JCW forum--applied to an "S"
Can't say I have mastered linking to a specific post, but here is the thread on the JCW board about the torque steer "fix":
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-retrofit.html
Lots of background and questions going back months on p. 1; latest posts on p. 2 give some recent reports of success, including mine.
If you haven't followed it, by getting the dealer to do a s/w update on a pre-2011, you can really clean up the torque steer. I managed to have it done on my 2010 R56 S the other day (as a customer pay update), and sure enough it works as advertised! That agrees w/ a few early reports that it was possible not just for JCW's, but S's too. And, I have also confirmed it co-exists with the Alta AP, at least as long as you do a firmware/tunes update in my case. My recent posts are toward the end of the linked thread.
