2005 cooper s aftermarket clutch problems

HI
i just had a spec stage 2 clutch and lightweight fly wheel installed in my 05 cooper s. when i picked up the car this afternoon i found that with the pedal pressed all the way to the floor the clutch will not release, if you start the car with the pedal pressed all the way down the car jumps forward just like you were not pressing the clutch at all, but if you lift your foot up about an inch the clutch works normally, it is the same when shifting gears with the car in motion, press pedal all the way down no shift, lift foot up an inch car shifts as it should. local garage could not figure it out.
i would be very grateful for any advice i can give my mechanic to fix this.

Thanks
Nick

Is the clutch pedal soft?
I would check to see if there is air in the hydraulic system.

Check the hydraulics first, but if they are fine you have a clutch problem. Wouldn't be the first Spec kit I've seen that was bad.

No the clutch pedal feels just as it did before the install , the shop pressure bled the system, i have had them do a slave on this car before so they know how to blead it correctly.

so we figured out the clutch problem, the sticker on the clutch that indicated the flywheel side was placed on the wrong side of the clutch, causing the mechanic to put it in backwards, spec say that they will not cover the labor, so i am out 1200 dollars in labor and a week of my time. Needless to say i will never buy from spec again.
