Intercooler piping

hello, im new to the forum and wanted to get some input. i ordered an intercooler from the group buy with tyrolsport and am planning on changing the intercooler pipes as well. i was considering getting nm engineerings pipes but i was browsing ebay and found this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MINI-...ht_5197wt_1165

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MINI-...ht_4657wt_1165
(i have a new greddy bov from a previous project, so i would either run it now or install a block off plate there.)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MINI-...ht_4567wt_1165

also, im currently running an alta intake. im considering running it with the intake pipe (alot cheaper than nms)

im kinda liking the bling factor, makes me want to get forges coolant tank.

next on my list is alta's accessport
thanks for your input in advance

Has anyone installed one of these complete kits. It seems like the cold side would show great gains seeing how the stock piping is so restrictive on that side.

I like that intake pipe. Looks like one of the few aftermarket options for intake pipe on the R56.

Any improvement in performance from swapping the factory plumbing for these new hard pipes? Very curious.....

If you order the pipes direct from their website, you can get them painted in all the Mini colors!

Bump for this; curious if anyone has done a comparison on how these worked for owners.

Anyone? I wonder if there is any benefit of changing out the entire cold side pipe instead of the short pipe that basically eliminates the noise maker, like the one made by NM. Or is making the entire cold side pipe not worth it for the bigger companies, I don't know.

I use the NM blacks for cold and hot side. Hot side was a pain to put in but it all worked out in the end! A little more hp and better engine look.

Kinda makes ya wonder if Punk was a troll for Dejon. Makes some posts and never hear from him again.

Would be nice to know how they work. Or maybe they didn't.......

so i asked the ebay seller the sizes on the piping........
the hot side is 46mm
and the cold side is 52mm

from what ive searched the stock piping size is 50mm,
so looks like im gonna end up running the nm hard pipes for the hot side which are 59mm and the full ebay piping one for the cold side.

Dejon Powerhouse

Dejon Powerhouse is actually STILL IN BUSINESS and IS making parts for the MINI R56. I emailed him a couple of weeks ago because I happened to trip across his stuff just before I pulled the trigger on purchasing those ebay hardpipes. He told me that everything is on the up and up and I could place an order with him. I just thought I'd share the news for anyone that may be interested in his products.

PS- NO, I'm not a troll and I don't work for Dejon. I'm actually in the middle of rebuilding my entire intake system with all hardpipes and an upgraded FMIC. Once I'm done with that, I'm considering the K03 to K04 turbo conversion. Then, I'm off to see Jan at RMW.

That's funny, when I talked to them on the phone, they told me they no longer support the MINI, and the links to the Mini pipes no longer worked after our conversation. Directly from the owner...Wonder if they realized the market was there and picked it up again.

I saw someone at a weekly car meet who has the Dejon pipes on his chevy. He claims they slipped off in multiple locations. He reinstalled with T-Bolt Clamps and everything has been good since.
