I agree with you. This is what I have been chasing for the past 2 years. I have a question for you...If I told you there are more aggressive tunes are you interested? You probably said yes. Next question...With these more aggressive tunes there is a very good chance eventually you will break a piston and it will cost you $5k-10K to get it repaired are you still interested??

It's all good though Ray. Hows the car doing? You have a chance to get on the dyno with that Alta turbo or did you move right into testing with your new one?

Hi Mike. Just dyno's the Alta turbo. Still 220 hp. Mustang dyno. I think I reached the limit of this turbo. I sent my JCW turbo out and had it upgraded to 32-33 lbs/min. I'm hoping to have it on in the next few weeks. If that doesn't give me any positive results then the GT28 is going on!!! I had an idea for the waste gate...Have you ever tried a cold side wastegate??

I would be interested in that tune, if people can run the larger jcw turbo with more boost than my s could even make and people are running the billet 56 now I feel like a hair more is available with this turbo or atleast a tune more tailored to my exact car and mods, or I'll just have to wait to get the billet 56 kit I guess, maybe I just wish this turbo had a larger power band, a couple shops around me say they can mess with the AP a tiny bit so maybe I'll get a quick Dyno tune, wish they had access tuner software for mini like they do for mazdas and where you can mess with your own maps, I know what you mean though mini repair costs are astronomical..

Currently I run their tune and boosting well over 22psi...(27,5psi in some extreme cases, when doing some hill climb rallying the other day)
So, from my personal experience, the Evolve tuning service should be a top priority for everyone that needs a problem-free tune...
Nice...what kind of power are you putting down with that boost?

Never got around to seeing what my R56 could actually do without the 22psi BS. Always knew my numbers would have been much higher if it would have allowed it to boost freely up to 23-24.

27.5psi....you seem smart enough to know that a blown piston is in your future though, right??

Enough power to accelerate from 0 to 152mph (speed limiter) in 27seconds.
There are videos posted on my YouTube channel you could watch...
It has plenty of power to put you in trouble...
I don't use the full boost file for everyday use but it's relaxing to know I don't have the boostcut restriction. And that is progress. Now as far as my pistons are concerned, they are doing just fine.
It is always a matter of when and not if...

It is never "the end" for me... This winter I am preparing something even better

I have heard of it ,but never seen it used on a street car. Hopefully your retrimed turbo does the job and you wont need to worry about it. Tuning seems like it would become more complicated then it would should be.

Always a pleasure talking to a mature thinking fella.

Life is too short Blake so we might have some fun while we are at it. If a piston brakes, so be it...

I will go one step further with this car (head-camshafts-revised pistons) and that would be the end eventually...

TBH it is a brilliant engine which gives massive power/torque gains and still being a tiny 1,6... Nevertheless, remarkable...
