Intercooler Hoses Question

Im looking to get a larger Intercooler on my 2010 R56, and figure that while I am digging around replacing the intercooler I may as well install some other parts. My thought is that it makes sense to do the intercooler hoses (Air Charge Pipe, and Discharge Pipe)

My question is what hoses should I get?
Who make the best ones?
Are there different pipes that I should get, or different parts altogether?
I am not looking to spend a crazy amount of money, the intercooler is the big purchase, I just want to get parts to properly complement everything else I have.
(for reference I already have intake, TBE, AP, and BSH OCC on order)

Thanks!

I second the NM pipes, every MINI is slightly different and the NM pipes can be installed perfect on any MINI. When you have solid silicone hoses they sometimes can be stressed since they may have to be twisted slightly or pulled a little to make them fit.
Also we carry the NM pipes in black so they are little more stealth.

Jkool44, what intercooler are you installing? I'm thinking by your signature that it might be an Alta. I will also be going with Alta's turbo-back and FMIC. please let me know, PM or email, how you like the exhaust when you get it on. After a bunch of research, I have decided on NM pipes also. Good luck.

I had a feeling the NM would be the recommendation, just hoping to find something a little cheaper.

WMW are the NM pipes in stock? I have the BSH OCC on order with you, but unfortunately on backorder. Curious if it is something that could get out quickly.

why not just put in a pipe and delete the muffler? or just put an aluminum pipe and save the cash? why is nm so much better to spend a couple hundred bucks?

That is a good question. I guess another part would be what is the efficiency of the stock piping (with and without muffler delete) vs. the aftermarket Nm, Alta, etc parts.

Another one for NM! I had the Alta before. The hot side boost tube worked well, but the cold side tube was a disaster. Way too big and rubbed gashes in itself from the valve cover and other items in the engine bay by the intake manifold. The NM fit PERFECT!

So you can get their super biased opinion? What's the point?

Does the installation of these pipes give an MCS any extra power? on a 2011 MCS? I have a bit of bias myself --toward NM.

Based on some vendor claims, 10 HP. Realistically, buy something else to get HP.

i called to see if they could do anything for me on price. and they could with the sale at m7 and the great customer service at Alta they were both a great deal. At this price if something goes wrong i can buy another one and it would still be cheaper than one from NM. I want with Alta just because of the great service if i have an issue with that hose ill try out m7's option.

Get the one from moss mini that you posted up, you army going to gain anything more from going with the more expensive pipes like alta or NM, maybe 1hp which you arnt going to feel lol.... But I couldn't justify spending 130-180 vs 50 bucks...
