Finally installed the DDM Diverter

I love the look of the DDM Diverter. Also the way the seal it make between the intercooler and the bonnet is perfect. I am pleased!

Sorry the last two pics are upside down. I tried to flip them but they keep coming up like that.

Looks great! I ditched my chargecooler system and ordered a GP intercooler with the DDM diverter. Can't wait to get it here.

Were did you get the little eyes? I've been looking for them but the place that used to sell them closed I think.

Thanks. I love it. Not only does it look great, it fits perfectly. With the DDM Diverter there is no need to trim underside of the bonnet scoop. Even on the automatic!

I bought mine from new.MINIMania.com, however they only have the American Flag Eyes left, not my thing. Here are some alternatives.

PS: I sent you a PM displaying the second vendor. It is another forum. Just think of the abbreviation for MAssachusetts.

One question!

I ordered the DDM diverter for my '03 Mcs just this week and waiting for its arrival. I went for the blacked out version to match up with my DDM CAI.
But I will admit it was a difficult decision and yours does look good.
I do have a question, did you need to remove all the stock foam trim on the underside of the bonnet around the intake area or does it just help with the overall seal? I'm looking forward to installing my Alta "verry red" couplers to finish off the look.

Ooops..... now that I looked at your upsidedown pics looks like the
stock foam seal is still in place. If you had to do any trimming please let me know or any other hints but it looks to be a pretty straight forward four screws out four screw in. I've already had my stock diverter off to see to the ease of replacement.

No trimming was required at all. I shut the bonnet slowly and looked thru the scoop to make sure there were no issues. I think the DDM diverter seals really well IMHO.

Adding the DDM diverter is on my short list. In light of the discussion on the initial post in this thread...

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...and-scoop.html

...does the DDM have the same gap issue in front that the stock diverter has (i.e. is there a gap that allows air to pass in front of the IC, rather than through it)?? It would be great if the improved flow through the IC afforded by the DDM diverter also included closing that gap...

I have had my DDm for awhile, No issues and I have used a few different hood scoups, I am not sure if there is any difference in performance, but it looks much better then stock IMO.

I am not sure what you are mean by a gap. I don't see a gap in the front, it is totally sealed on both sides, in fact all the way around. The air would be forced into the intercooler IMO. If you look at my gallery you will see larger pictures of the intercooler and DDM diverter, in fact the are right side up as well.

If you like I will take better pics tomorrow.

There may not be a gap unless you trim/alter the scoop to open up the flow like the dude did in the post that I linked earlier. I just checked out my stock diverter/scoop and couldn't find the mystery gap either! So no worries I guess.

If nothing else, the DDM diverter looks mo' better...

Cheers,
