Hard turbo inlet?

Are there any companies out there that make a hard inlet pipe for the R56? And I mean an actual hard inlet pipe, ie metal. I know the JCWs come with a stiffer inlet, but I'm looking for an actual metal intlet.

Nothing sounds sexier than a turbo car with all hard pipes.

Because I'm assuming there will be a huge mark up on the price. Seeing the prices I could probably just have a dose pipe made for cheap.

You are paying partly becuase of the name, partly becuase of the material, and mostly for the fact that it is a legal mod and will no fail you on an emissions test or get you ticketed in states like Commie Cali.

Are you looking for a turbo inlet tube? or boost tubes? The best turbo inlet seems to be the stock JCW hard plastic tube.

Yeah NM. And they are not that expensive. They make well engineered products. Shop around.

You get what you pay for which is why I never bought anything from Alta and I probably never will.

And it looks great under the hood...

I don't want plastic. I want a metal intake pipe. The performance difference is pretty minimal between plastic and metal but the sound is very different, and I very much prefer the sound of all metal piping for intake, boost, and discharge pipes.

But it doesn't fir the MCS properly because the turbo input is smaller on the MCS and people have had them come off..

@onefish2

Your engine bay is so CLEAN. It looks like show room ready!

I have my eyes on NM products for awhile. I haven't heard any bad things about them.

Too bad it does not look like that anymore. I sold the NM intake back in the spring to go with the DoS intake. As you can see I am back to the OEM JCW intake pipe. I also added the BSH oil catch can. I really do not think that swapping the plastic intake pipe for an aluminum pipe will make much of a difference sound wise. Here is a pic and also a video that I took a few months ago so others could hear the sound of the DoS intake on my JCW from the inside of the car. I also have the RMW tune on my car. Turn up the volume. It sounds pretty cool.
