So after pulling out the o2 sensor to pull off the heatshield to check for leaks on my new downpipe, I discovered I wasn't quite careful enough installing it. Yup, my upstream o2 sensor is completely dethreaded.

What are people using for new o2 sensors. I found the oem part, but it costs $170+

Has anyone found an alternative? I have a long trip coming up, and I would prefer not to drive 1600 miles with a plug instead of an o2 sensor, but I think my car would survive. Are there any super bad consequences of running rich?

 

I've just starting looking at O2 sensors online earlier today as well. So far the best prices I've found have been at rockauto.com

 

Ya o2 sensors are expensive. Maybe with your dethreaded one we can figure out how to make an sim that works.

I stock and use only the OEM sensors. We've tried the cheaper aftermarket ones and it will end up just biting you later.

I can sell the aftermarket ones for $160, if that's what you want.
