Anybody have a DT BPV that was faulty?

I'm starting to think that my BPV might be to blame for my low boost. Anybody ever have any DT BPV that was faulty from the beginning? Just trying to see what the probabilities could be

I've had my DT BPV on for about 6000 miles and can't believe it is malfuctioning already. I'm ordering a whole bunch of stuff and shipping is expensive. Don't want to order another DT BPV for no reason.

No, but mine seems to have gone out earlier than I would have expected. I had mine on for approximately 12,000 miles. I started having engine problems and decided to go back to some of the OEM parts like the BPV and intercooler bellows. So without not just swapping out the BPV, I can't say for sure that the DT BPV was causing the problems. I'm thinking of trying to swap out the BPV's again when I get some time to experiment.

For a stock car, anything under 11 psi would be kind of low.

I'm running a 16% SCP and 1% CP with 7100RPM redline. I'm not hitting more than 9 PSI...

Although I live in higher altitude (4600ft above sea level), it should still not be that low. I hit max PSI at about 5600RPM and then it just kind of stays there according to the boost gauge. I can feel it too as my car doesn't feel as fast as it used to.

I agree with the above anything under 11psi seems low (stock pulley)

If it were me I would first make sure that the gauge was accurate, no leaks or bad connections.

Next, bad connections to the BPV and corresponding parts.

Then the valve itself, because of the nature of the DTBPV and the stock unit there are just a few things that could be checked:

First, does the boost still come up sooner with the DTBPV than it did with the stock unit and does it stay constant when fully open? If so you would think it was nothing involving the spring.

If that seems ok it could always be something with the butterfly alignment but I don't remember ever reading anything about anyone having this issue, but as we all know anything is possible. So I would do as Fatherdeth swap back to the stock one and see what happens.

If nothing else contact the man himself (Chad) as most of us know we are very fortunate that within the mini vendor comunity customer service is practically a non-issue.

Blown Away is right. Recently, my gauge wouldn't register more than 8 psi. I found that the "T" vacuum connector was dry rotted bad. Replaced it and was back to 17 psi at WOT and around 14 with spirited driving.
