No blow off valve on a super charged car. What you are hearing is the whistling noise that is made with Alta's kit. Some people like and some don't.

The sound is on all the cars. The Alta simply allows more of it to come thru.

As stated, that is an R56 and as such may have a BOV that isn't silenced.

But the R53 Alta CAI does make a slightly similar noise when you lift, granted it doesn't last anywhere near as long. This is because the sound is made by air rushing through the Throttle body as it is closing, and we all know air rushing through small spaces makes a whistle. Now a side effect of that sound is that if you maintain throttle at the level that produces the whistle you will constantly get it. Some people call it annoying, I say it is something i have to deal with in order to have the best (IMHO) sounding intake on the market. But when one shifts through the gears during hard acceleration (without flatshifting) You get a very nice pronounced whistle that is evocative of a BOV.

Monday I am getting a One-ball done, and am planning on recording a video to pull audio out of for a ringtone for my phone , And i can add in a part showing the whistle i speak of.
