Looking for Software for a hybrid R53

My 2003 Mini Cooper S has a bit of mods. Milltek cat back exhaust, Alta 15% pulley and a Dinan CAI intake. We have bit of a dead spot at 3000 rpm and I am sure software may fix it. Who can set me up? Reasonably of course.
Thanks in advance

My first mods were the CAI and the 15% pulley, and I never got a dead spot at 3000rpm. In that time, I used a JCW belt.

A dead spot can be caused by a slippery belt. Could you tell us which belt size are you using right now?

The last time I got a dead spot around 3000rpm was when I installed a ported/polished head, a performance cam and a set of colder spark plugs. Also I got also a check engine light ON. Finally, I got a fix: the air-pressure sensor was bad.

That's all the infos I can share from my own experiment.

Hesitation or dead spot can also be from running slightly too lean at a certain rpm range and load levels. Usually down low flat spots are caused by this and need a bit more fuel.

lol, when I saw the title I was thinking "WTF?!?! Back seat delete + battery pack?"

Sounds like you're on the right track on getting a tune/reflash... I'm still running the stock program but plan to update in the near future.

Get a Dino tune....about $350 for the tune, $100 for the Dino time, and maybe $300+ for the remote tune tool....
WMW and RMW both due remote tunes...
MTH canned tunes are pretty good...older, but many folks still like them if you have a place localy that can load them, might be worth a shot.
It might be worth a drive to a tune party...that way you will not need the remote flash tool...

I used the correct shorter belt from NAPA. Alta 15% pulley. It's not totally dead, you can just feel a slight flatspot/hesitation. Put in the Brisk plugs too. The car starts and idles well. No check engine lights. Gas mileage is still great when wifey drives it, about 30mpg
