I'm debating about adding a header to my Mini. I noticed that WMW has a great deal on the Megan Racing header. I'm wondering if it will make enough of a difference though. My car sounds great now so it won't be for the sound, just HP. As far as the codes go, I will just install a couple of O2 simulators.

With my list of mods considered, does anyone have any input? I will be adding a new head at the beginning of 2011.

 

[FONT=Arial]The OBX header wasn’t really any louder using the OEM CAT on my car. I would wait until you get the new head. I don’t think the header will make much difference until then.[/FONT]

 

I was thinking the same. I guess I'll wait and do the head and header at the same time.

I'd save the $$ to go for a head instead...then the header. Woops, you beat me with a response...didn't see yours...you'll be glad you went w/head then header.
You may want to consider a meth/water system at that point too.

 

Do the poor mans header .

I removed the pre cat from mine and cleaned up the collector. I also removed the tiny pipe after the cat and bumped it up to 2.5, love it so far.

I have had 3 headers BTW and like this best so far.
