No muffler exhaust setup question

Am I loosing power by only having a resonator on my exhaust setup? i got a shop to make me a custom exhaust, but they didn't have a muffler that would fit up there so they just welded in a resonator instead. I dont feel like im loosing power, but i dont really feel like ive gained any either. all i know is, its louder... lots louder (which i like...most of the time)

your losing low end power for sure...i have a custom dual side exit with a cherry bomb glass pack and it definatly lost its low end tq. you opened it up for more high end possibilities though...not really worth it in my opion unless your building the engine ...cams,stroker kit..etc.

be careful with constant high rpms with that 19%.. severly increases your chances of blowing the supercharger....a header will just open it up more, less low end tq. than you got now....do the plugs and cai...some fuel injectors(380cc injectors dont require a tune..stock are 330cc) cam would be a worth while investment and then a tune...preferably tune last...it will be your biggest gain with those mods....and your safe running those mods without the tune

I already have most of it done already (see sig) but i just recently bought a 19 and the header. I'm already kinda iffy about the 19 but i dont track the car so i think i should be ok. also, its a 2004 with 48k miles, so im hoping the supercharger makes it to at least 80k (ill end up with whatever RMW comes out with after it blows) and yeah, injectors/cam/head/tune wont be soon, even though i wish it was.

you should be fine with the 19 for awhile as long as its not in the redline for extended periods of time...ive got a 15%(for auto cross) and 101k miles..no problems with anything....but good luck with your mods...keep us updated on what you finished and how it performs
