help with cell???

I have the Ross racing catless downpipe and dealer claims the p0128 is due to that. any input would be greatly appreciated.

well, there are numerous threads on cel issues with Downpipes. :(

There may still be the Riss cel simulator if it works? not sure?

I too suffer from a cel code as well. only fix next for me is back to stock :(

Dealer told me I'm not hurting anything. Just told me they can't inspect it. I just thought p0128 was related to the coolant and thermostat, but I could be wrong.

Generally speaking, I think it supposed to light up when the engine takes too long to warm up to operating temps....so it would be coolant/thermostat related, you would be correct black r56s.

Could be the absense of the cat creates a initial heat reduction triggering the code. But that is a guess.

no.

Its not becuase of the coolant or because the engine takes to long to heat up... its becuase you changed the cat. The engine it the mcs is monitonerd more acute then most. getting a cat that will run effiecently enough is no easy task. thats why downpipes arent 300 dollars from the factoy....

I think the dealer will not be able to do much for you.
