Newb to Mini's (Modd Plan)

Okay lil background first. I have been building cars for quite some time and do a lot of custom stuff for people. Bought the Mini in January of this year and have been surfing the next and reading up on all the quarks. Already cleaned both window motors up and straightend out the alignment. Car cam with 15% pulley, ebay intake, and header back exhaust with cat left in place. I have ordered and will be installing this weekend the alta intake with hose, DT SBV, and Helix STS Kit.

From what I have found the alta air diverter with water sprayer, RMW street cam, 440cc injectos and a tune will net a desent amount of power and get rid of the flatness from abot 4500-redline? Oh will also get colder plugs.

I am not looking for a beast but a daily driver that wont make me go back to something bigger. I love the Mini and the room I got for being 6'1".

Modd plac in the right direction or did I miss something? Oh and is there any weight savings for a CF hatch that makes it worth the price?

welcome it looks like a pretty decent list, but if your looking for the top end power you'll want the race cam and not the street cam. the race is for top end power where as the street cam is for low end torque, but falls of in the higher revs.
one of my favs that you may need to do with those mods is a new clutch/ flywheel.. that is if you can handle the MASSVE amount of chatter a lightweight alum flywheel makes in these cars. It does make the engine VERY rev happy though.. (and be forewarned.. its a bit expensive.. and for the labor, make buds with a local mini mechanic if you don't want to do it and see what he will do it for on the side on a weekend.)

Where in NC are you located?

I did forget to mention that I bought the car cheap with a bad clutch and flywheel. I installed a l/w flywheel from Findanza and a clutch maters stage 3 6 puck clutch. It only took me like 5 hours to swap the clutch ot as these cars are very easy to work on. It also has an upgraded coil pack and wires but those don't really seem to mean anything.

The race cam can still be ran on stock valvetrain? I thought I saw it would help from an increased redline but no mention of when the stock valve train reaches its limits.

cool! im from spartanburg, but go to Clemson. I believe the race cam can be run on the stock valve train (just call jan... or mynes... they both make good cams)

I'm not sure what the valve train;s limits are, but i do know the crank is rated for something ridiculous like 900hp...
