need help pulling the trigger!

i am on the tip of the edge regarding my purchase with a downpipe. was planning on getting riss racing's downpipe but seems like theyre going downhill so im observing my other options.

**FYI, i have my mind set on a catless downpipe**

regarding my choices, for me its a toss up between an OBX catless downpipe or a Way Motor Works catless downpipe. what do you all think is a better product? from what i read, these both seem to be quality products but im just not sure which one i should go with and ANY help would be very much appreciated...thanks!

If you're going catless it shouldnt matter much. I think the worst choice you will have to make is what your weather is like in your area. If you have a lot of humidity and salt etc then I would look at stainless, otherwise catless it just piping

Not sure if that helps at all. lol. Glad to see someone going this route as I am converting my ALTA downpipe into a catless one soon. I figured if Im gonna sit here and throw a CEL, I may as well have it catless too.

I don't see how you could go wrong on either choice......for the $'s, the OBX is hard to beat.

yah at first i wanted to get a catted DP but after reading on the forums, i figured the same. why would i go catted and get a CEL if i could just go catless and get the CEL too.

as for my choice, i agree with you phlash. the OBX's price is very hard to beat. i just hope i dont encounter any fitment issues with the OBX and my factory jcw exhaust

as far as sound goes, are all these downpipes going to be more or less similar in tone?

You are going to have to cut the OBX to have it fitted properly. Just get the Exhaust Depot's DP with ceramic coated or heat insulated wraps from Hector, and save yourself some headache.
