Post Pulley Install Problem?

Installed my 15% Alta pulley today and all went okay... After much ado, I finished and after unplugging and replugging the ecu and ignition stuff because I got the EML light soon after starting it, I eventually got it work wonderfully. And on the ride home I didn't want to turn the radio on because I wanted to just listen for any problems and all that. Well after a while that got boring and tried turning it on, but it doesn't turn on?! The lights work on all the button, but the screen doesn't light up and doesn't do anything else? So does anyone suggest anything?

Thanks

check the battery terminals. mine did that too. i went to take it for a test drive and the gauges all lit up briefly and then shut off.

since you have to detach the battery as part of the procedures, i went into the boot and checked connections, cleaned the terminal posts and cable connectors, and then reconnected then it worked perfect.

Well, the radio is the only thing that isn't working. Every other button and electronic thing in the car works. So the battery is fine.

There is a SECURITY CODE and or a service code that needs to be entered.
If you don't have it in your paperwork call your MINI dealer and they will need your VIN and ownership info.
They will have a 4 digit code that you need to input using the station preset buttons.

You have to un-plug the connectors as part of the pulley change.

Are you sure? The stereo screen doesn't even turn on so it doesn't seem like I can just push buttons and make it work. But I'll try it. So what exactly am I asking them for?
