That is why you just explain in your videos how you are in Mexico... or Canada... I think I'd prefer Canada.. just be sure to use "eh" profusely!!

Any chance that you can take the baffles on and off whenever you want?

I like the sound but it may be too much for some of my riders.

You can switch it in and out if you want, but leaving the baffle in is recommended.

You can still make the turbo & CAI speak to you when you go out for 'spirited' drives (because vacuum opens the blades of the baffle after ~=-3500 RPM). More subdued driving subdues the sounds as well, This makes your car fairly sleeper until you really open it up.

I love the sound th e DOS CAI makes on my John Cooper Works Mini.

If you don't like noise, why would you install a CAI?

Scroll up and look at the youtube vids that I posted. They clearly state JCW in the title.

What other mods do you think I have that are impacting the sound? All I have in the engine bay is the DoS intake, NM Engineering hot and cold side hard tubes and the Helix FMIC.

This is probably your best and only bet. How many people do you think have a JCW with only a DoS intake that frequent NAM and took the time to shoot a video, upload it to youtube and then post it here?

wow, okay... you said yourself you think it sounds more aggressive due to the other mods you have. And I'll be the first to say, you car sounds a LOT different with the flutter that it has when you shift.

I just commented on ej827's post about the noise on a JCW. Thank you for posting the vids of your car.... My point was that I'd love to hear one on a JCW with just the DoS at some point out of pure curiosity and comparison. I don't expect there to be a video online, nor did I say I ever expected one. The whole reason I filmed/ posted the videos on YouTube in the first place is because besides what Clint has posted, I think DoS has weak presence on YouTube.

Ok. You got me with the flutter...I forgot about that. The hard tubes and the FMIC might make the sound a bit deeper but I do not think there would be much difference between the sound on your car and the sound of a JCW with just the DoS intake.

We are filming this in the car while in motion so the different exhausts would not come into play. I dunno maybe the JCW does make it sound deeper.

I just re-played your videos then mine. I drove my car much more aggressively than you did. I also took it up to almost 6000 RPM. That could have a lot to do with it too.
