Batteries

Not your little AAs now. But I was wondering how much does the stock battery weigh? I was looking at Braille batteries just for fun and was wondering what the weight savings would be.

Stock battery is quite heavy, about 40 lbs.

If you use it for the street, do not get the Braille racing batteries but their street ones, around 16-24 lbs. The carbon fiber ones are for racing as well.

Ya I had no intention of getting anything less then the 11.5lbs and that one is pushing it.

There is one that is a good fit for the R56. Cannot remember which one it is.

I have a Braille Endurance street for my 997 and it was great. But it weighed a heck of a lot.

Still you get the 15lbs to 21lbs and you are shaving off half or more of what the stock one weighed, to me that is good numbers. Though the are a little pricey but I am not looking at getting a new battery for awhile.

I've been running the 15lb battery from Braile for the last 6 months.

It was really cold this winter & my car always started as long as I didn't let it sit for more than 4- 5 days.

I went on vacation for 6 days & my car wouldn't start.
