Reminds me of when I had my Alta turboback before switching to other stuff. Very street friendly. Having the huge resonator rub against the MINIs heatshield under hard driving was what made me get rid of it. Hope you don't have the same problem.

I would be very watchful of their cold side boost tube. Tons of people in MINI clubs everywhere, including me, have had that tube rub on the valve cover bolt closest to the tube putting a hole in it. After that, I totally had it with Alta.

I have an Exhaust Depot cold side boost tube with an HKS SSQV (blow off valve).

I now have a Riss Racing downpipe with a DDMWorks exhaust. There were some fitment issues with the Riss downpipe and DDMWorks exhaust connecting together but I had them fixed with a heavy duty 3-bolt flange.

If I had to do it all over again, I would still buy a downpipe from whatever manufacturer, but do a custom exhaust after that. Local shops usually charge a very reasonable price, have great workmanship, have plenty of options to choose from, and they sure could use the help in this crappy economy.

+1. If anyone wants to drive to Portland, OR and give me their stock exhaust, I'll be happy to give you my alta downpipe. Seriously.

The low mileage boost tubes are lying somewhere in a garbage dump after I attempted to take up alta's offer to return them.
