TPS reports through ScanGauge

Not to be confused with "Tire Pressure Sensors" which cannot be monitored through SGII.

TPS = Throttle Position <sensor>
SGII = Scangauge II
WOT = Wide Open Throttle

Has anyone else noticed this...
When monitoring TPS through the SGII notice some interesting things.

1. With the ignition on but the engine off I can measure TPS on the SGII ranging from 14 at zero throttle to 85 at WOT.
2. While accelerating at WOT the SGII measures +/- 65 TPS below about 4000 rpm
3. Continuing to accelerate beyond 4000 RPM I see no more than 75 TPS on the SGII.

This makes me thing our R56 ECU has some kind of map which is limiting throttle based on RPM accept when the engine is not running. Activating sport and/or DTC adds nothing to maximum throttle reported.

Does anyone else see this happening? This sounds like a good for gains.

Last question - Would something like the Sprint Booster get the throttle to open more?

The sprint booster decreases the delay between when you press down the gas pedal and when the throttle plate opens up. It is also supposed to increase the rate at which the throttle plate opens. I remember some people with R56s said the Sprint Booster was practically unusable on their cars compared to those who had it on an R53!

My TPS report: 14.1% at idle and up to a maximum of 74ish% at WOT.

Only one month dead thread necromancy, I hope that's not too bad.

I just plugged mine in today. TPS was reading 14 at idle, and up to 85 at WOT. Everything was under 4000 RPM; I'm still breaking in the engine.

I'll have to see if I can get it to report more sig figs, 60 MPH cruise was I think TPS 17, so I could use more resolution between idle and there.
