Any news on the ITG filters for the Dinan CAI? I need to replace mine soon, and I have no luck in finding a replacement.

Haven't heard anything myself. Someone on a diff thread mentioned that there are K&N filters that are more or less the same as the original Dinan filter dimensions.

Why are you replacing it? If you use the correct foam cleaner (ITG makes a good kit, or any "foam filter cleaning kit")....it should be good for many years.....but if you use the wrong stuff (cotton gauze cleaning kit)....like K&N cleaner/oil, it will eat the foam......and the filter will not work....the oil is very different...one is much more sticky....

Isn't the Dinan a paper element like the K&N? I thought you could clean it like the K&N and reuse it at least once.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Plus, K&N makes a similar size so it should fit as well.

Some folks clean and reuse the stock dinian filter....it looks like a blue K&N, but they call it disposible when you buy it. Many folks have replaced it with a foam ITG filter...K&N has a universal that will fit... A bit smaller, so it will need cleaning more often to matain the same flow...the stock filter has a bit of bend in the neck so a much bigger filter can fit in the airbox.

I installed the replace ITG filter in my Dinan intake about 4 months ago. This weekend I took the intake cover off to clean the filter and found that the ITG filter had broken off at the neck. I'm not positive it didn't happen when I was taking the Dinan cover off, but I may have been driving a while with no filter. The neck of the ITG filter is just glued on to the filter body. I wouldn't recommend the ITG filter. I cleaned the saved original Dinan filter with a K&A kit and installed it.

I bought an ITG filter to install in my Dinan CAI and while removing it from the bag the neck of it came away from the body of the filter making it useless. Seemed like they were poorly glued together. I returned it and used an angled generic sponge UNI filter instead.
