Drivetrain ***OFFICIAL SIGN-UP THREAD for FLASH TOOL***
You have a private message...
this is as bad as the "remote tuning next week" thread

aren't they ordered yet, where do we send the money ?
pretty much
You will probably never see these prices again
goal is 100 of these tools... I'll get the best discount here. Then pass it on to all the great people of NAM
this is the price of the tool
the tune is extra.......I'm feeling like discounting the tune if we get over 100 of them..........I must have lost my mind
well..........good question

What is this tool going to cost with a generic canned tune? For instance, I have a bone stock MCS. Somewhere in this thread you mentioned you have a canned map for a stock car that will bump it 20-30hp. What is this map going to cost in addition to the cost of the tool?
Normal pricing is $600 for the tune. There will be some sort of package deal based on how many people sign up for the tool. As someone said before there will never be prices like this again based on what these tools cost us.
Jan,
Could you put me down for one too.
But, could you give a complete rundown of how the remote tune works, how much it will cost and what kind of gains we should see. I have a bone stock Clubman S (manual) and wasn't planning on upgrading the exhaust, but I might change the intake.

Guys, ya'll need to give Jan a little breathing room. That's why he can't broadcast his other ventures because he'll never get the hell off the computer to accomplish anything.
Look, it's pretty simple. the tool allows for mulitiple tunes to be installed via the OBDII port.
THE TOOL DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY TUNES!!! It is a tool to install tunes. Tunes are sold separately.
You will download your stock tune from the ECM via the OBDII port and save it on the tool.
The stock tune will be transferred to Jan and he will modify your tune based on your mods. (ie. CAI, exhaust, heads, whatever)
Then he will email you back your new tune.
Using the scan tool, you will upload the new tune into your car.
Though this tune is generated for YOUR car with YOUR mods, it cannot be fine tuned unless put on a dyno to tweak it to max. performance.
I hope this helps, it seems there are a LOT of redundant questions about how it works, blah, blah, blah....
If Jan spends his time answering the same question over and over, he'll never get anything done. Though he may be our mini guru for tuning, Jan tunes MANY other club's cars also. (porsche, etc, etc)
I hope this saves some of you newbies from reading half a dozen pages to understand how it works.
