There are no rights

to the AGS. It's not protected IP. There are those that have made similar things as one-offs. The pain is the oval of the SC mouth to the round of the TB exit.

Since I was the only one in this thread that was actually there, I shot all the video and rigged the cars for video/sound, I just want to clarify that the only shots where I added a mic were for the car interior scenes. The mic under the hood was the best place due to experience to capture the most "MINI like" sounds after many many tests. Also placement in the engine compartment is key. There are all kinds of whirring, buzzing, rattling sounds that happen in the engine bay that you never hear when standing outside of the car, and when you hear them on a video, it sounds like an old jalopy rather than a MINI. Putting the mic near the intake produced the best balance of SC/Intake noise for any MINI..AGS or not.

The shots from canyon above where the two MINIs pass each other, the pass by with Randy flying by me as I whip pan, were all captured using the onboard camera mic of my Sony TRV-950. Any footage outside of the cars, the audio is from the camera mic. I did normalize (compress) the audio for loudness though because this was about the AGS and I was trying to maintain consistent audio between scenes.

It should also be noted that since we shot in the canyons...that sound tends to be amplified in that environment.

There is a bit of fun trivia in that video that few people notice. Check near the end where the 3 cars are coming out of the tunnel and whip past me...count how many come out of the tunnel in the scene immediately after. There was a close mishap there, and I ended up cutting two scenes together to make it look like one. Only those that were there know what really happened!
