For the sequential BOV video, the car has an aftermarket FMIC, boost tube. Exhaust/downpipe were stock during the video!

That's a shame, I was hoping that a catless downpipe would make it louder across the entire RPM range. What about your downpipe? Louder the whole way, or just during the boost ramp-up?

The Riss downpipe sounds great all the way to redline,The powerhouse has a unique but very addicting sound all its own(think rallycar ).

Sounds like I can't settle for anything but the Powerhouse. And a deresonate pipe.

I've been away from the forum for a few months. So I'm just catching up on the latest and greatest mods.

Been wanting a BOV since last summer and I just found out about this Riss sequential BOV.

Is this shipping already? And if installed on your car, I'd like to hear some feedback, please. Thanks.

I'm running a RR catless dp on my stock mcs exhaust and i like the sound. It does sound more aggresive (when you want it to). When your low in the revs it is very tame almost stock sounding. Once you get into the boost and reving slowly it sounds very nice, If you rev hard it sounds much more aggresive all the way up to redline.

You're better off getting a fabrication shop to make a metal cold side boost tube and weld a flange for a HKS SSQV directly on it. Then buy the silicone connectors yourself. Hector from Exhaust Depot used to sell these that were REALLY nice, but I think he might be out of business now.

Wow, is Exhaust Depot really out of business? I should have jumped on those a few months back. :-(

FYI, I received my SS BOV kit from Riss Racing last week and installed it this weekend. I'm happy to report it works like a charm. No boost leaks. No loss in peak boost. Still doing max 12-13 psi OK. No CELS. It looks great and it sounds fantastic. I'll post a pic later tonight.

It's been great so far since last weekend's install. No boost leaks. No CELS. Motor runs fine. Boost levels (i have a boost gauge w/ peak hold) and power is fine. So no adverse effects. And the sound is fantastic!!!

And yes, the BOV looks to be a copy of the newer style HKS SS BOV unit. And to Riss Racing's credit, I don't think they advertised this as an HKS SS BOV unit. There are no HKS markings on the BOV. I knew this going into the purchase.

But the performance of this BOV, along with the sound produced, seems to be inline with the actual/real HKS BOV. I have the older style twin HKS SS BOV on my 1993 Nissan twin turbo 300ZX (500+ hp), so I'm very familiar with the sound. And I'm happy to report, I now hear that same sweet song once again in the MINI. :-)

For the price I got for the entire kit, I have no regrets. The hard pipe fitment was perfect. The BOV position under the hood was perfect. No missing parts in the kit. And it all worked perfectly on the first press of the START button. :-)

He's still in business, I purchased his dp month or so back.

I do plan on taking CountryBoyShane's advice and fab my own metal tube for the cold side with the bov.

@RissRacing, their shop is messing up for me :\ I get a 404 on all their products in the Mini section.
