Thinking about mods for 2010

Thinking about the next steps to take on my 2009 Cooper S.

Take a look at the mods in my signature and tell me what your thoughts are for the next round.

I am looking to place my order on a TCE 13.0 BBK this week.

Next I am considering the following but the desire to keep my warranty intact may defer some of these:

1 - Forge or Helix Intercooler
2 - Exhaust Depot Catted and ceramic coated Downpipe
3 - Milltek Catback exhaust ( I care about performance not sound if it helps)
4 - DOS CAI
5- Tune (once warranty expires)

The order above is the order I am thinking of installing these mods as well. My goal is to do several track events each year and the nearest track is Mid Ohio.

Your thoughts and inputs are greatly appreciated.

1.ok
2.ok . bigger is better with the downpipe get 2.5 inch minimum and cats cost HP and TQ
3.look at DDM Works 3 inch, stratmosphere 2.75 inch or the way motor works system 2.75 inch (Milltek is 2.5 inch)
4.ok
5.RMW tune
6.get a water/meth injection system

The above combo will net about 190 to 200 whp maybe 10/15 more with a catless downpipe.(get ready to upgrade your clutch)

Dont waste money on boost tubes they are just eyecandy.

1. I'm going to get the Helix, seems to be the best from what I read on here.
2. I think most downpipes are 2.5" I don't think there are any larger due to clearances. Exhaust Depot is the way to go here (again from what I read here).
3. 2.5" is probably enough for your cat back unless you're putting down huge amounts of power. You could get rid of your secondary cat as well.
5. +1 on the RMW tune, I don't think I've heard any complaints against it.

3 inch downpipe has plenty of room.

on downpipe back exhaust every 1/4 inch up to 3 inches is worth 3 hp.

The dyno does not lie

i have Alta's 3inch exhaust... but my personal opinion... if it's available why get two cats (like mine >< ) when just one works fine (see JCW as reverence....

Forge/Helix ICs are great... you'd be happy with either

tune do whatever... but at this point your only real tune is RMW... unless you have an 07 MINI then GIAC is there for you :P but that's only 07 MINIs..

and completely agreed with JamesHunt.... if it's in your budget get the Meth/water kit.... that'll be great for anyone seeking that little bit of more power...

Jan will want to sell you a aquamist(very very very high quality kit) but a aem hd diesel kit will do just as well for 1/3 the money.
