Given the interest in the Mini community for mods, I am wondering why the factory isn't seeing a profit center here and coming out with a factory line of carbon fiber body parts- do the full monty and you'd have a superleggera Mini. Yowsa!

Well I am back...

First off, it's not my company that would be making the mentioned products. I can tell you that they are certainly not going to pay the prices that NAM wants to be a vendor...its extortion.

Secondly, I unfortunately cannot join the discussion with you guys in regards to the products mentioned in the title of the thread, nor can I PM about it.

Sooo, I guess all I can say is keep your eyes and ears open elsewhere

Mclaren, Ferrari, and...Mini!?!?! haha, right.

That would be sweet but engineering and then building a Mini completely of CF would push the price way way up. Never be worth it.

MiniRover, given the staggering amount of mods some people put into their cars, I bet that any number of people would gladly lighten their cars with a CF body part or two - especially the JCW boys. And I further bet there would be a number who would replace their complete body shell if they could.

Nobody said anything after my post. I won't even talk to "my guy" with this kind of interest.
