Home made CAI
I was thinking of removing the top lid, and attaching a cone filter to the OEM hose. But what could I use for the top to eliminated heat from entering?
Is it possible to attach the cone in the box? If so, can someone show me a pic of the piece of piping needed for it to work? thanks all, great community

Im sure you could find some sort of adapter to put a foam filter in your OEM airbox.
If your going to go that far i would promote taking all the dimensions off of an ALTA top (its not a very complex piece) or just about any other CAI, and go on some amazing DIY adventure. Home Depot has been supplying DIY track-stars and poor enthusiasts for years and years.
Sometimes you can find CAI's for $75-100 used on the forums including the $50 air filter, which is the easy way.
