Alta Drop in airfilter vs CAI

Besides the sound of the CAI are there any true performance gains between the Alta drop in foam filter and a DDM or M7 style CAI. Thanks.

I installed a dinian CAI, and I can say my but dyno says it makes more hp, with a very limited amount of noise.... It has just enough supercharger whine to make me smile...just what I wanted. It is generaly accepted that the stock airbox is the limit....not nescesarly the filter...it would help... But replacing most of the intake to let the car breathe better will get you alot more bang for the buck. The dinian i got looks stock... Is CARB approved if you live in CA, and has had a recent pricecut to 140.00$....making it a steal in my opinion. Since then I have also done a pulley... And now I wonder why I waited!!
