Used Stock 2006 LSD to 2004 MCS | Time and Issues?

I'm thinking about picking up a used 2006 Stock LSD w/45k miles on it and putting it in my 2004 MCS.

How much installation time is involved? How much less time if it was done at the same time as the front suspension and all of the pulleys?

Anything to worry about with 45k miles on it?

Any issues going from non-LSD to LSD or using a 2006 LSD in a 2004?

I'm reading in some other threads that it might kill the cruise control because of gear ratio differences?

Will the DSC still work?

The whole transmission or just the unit?

Possibly...I believe the stock unit is a clutch-type as opposed to mechanical.

Both the unit itself and the whole transmission will interchange in those years.

That only applies if you swap the later trans into a early(before 7/04) car.

Yes.

BTW...I hope it's not the one that was on eBay...

Thanks for the response. It is just the LSD unit, not the whole transmission.

No, it's not from eBay. =]

You're welcome...if you have access to the rest of the trans, let me know.

I believe it's as much time as a clutch job, because it requires dismantling the transmission, which is about 9 hours. From here, it depends how much your dealer/mechanic charges by the hour.
