Drivetrain Forge R56 Intercooler Props
Forge R56 Intercooler Props
Just installed yesterday and you can tell a distinct difference immediately. I assume it will even improve over the next few days! Beautiful part, really a class design, fantastic welding and really detailed instructions. The lower end is a smidge better the mid-range is awesome and the top end is actually there where before the engine would lose steam by the high 5's low 6's now it feels strong through the high 6's, still dropping off slightly but still worthwhile to keep pulling. Water spray would complete this install and I bet water injection would probably throw this over the top. I've got a customer 3" downpipe from the first stock converter and 2 1/2" back to the stock muffler, lightweight crank pulley, coil voltage booster (20v) and increased boost through an auto map controller. Now if only I could get a real tune with a handheld flash! RMW :-)

Hey guys, this may be a dumb question, but where can I buy a Forge fmic? I need one asap, but I can't seem to find a company to get one fast. Is this also on backorder, or "being made," just like all other products for the R56? Please help me out!!
Thanks...
Thanks...

Yes...I had to cut the tab off where you are supposed to drill a hole into the bumper re-inforcement. I have a 2010 MCS. So, long story short, my intercooler is not supported via the bumper reinforcement.
It's not a big deal the bracket can be moved to support the top or just left as is.
Also it's good to note that if the car has any kind of aero kit. The supplied trimmed down grill won't work. The installer will need to trim the grill that came with the car.
Other then that though the IC it self does work great. It's still the only one we like to sell.
What do you mean by moving the support bar? Do you happen to have any pics or can you describe it to me?
Thanks for all your help.

I have yet to have a car in the shop with the same bumper as the pic in their instructions. The first two I installed I was told that the cars must be some odd variant. After I did a few more though I quickly realized that that's just how the US spec bumper is.

WayMotorWorks pretty much cleared up what I was getting at. It can be run with out it.
