you dont want to do the Unichip. I have seen numerous dyno charts from people that have run the unichip. And over time you loose horsepower with those things. It may help the first week or two, but it seems that it tends to hinder horsepower rather than help it

The Bentley is a good book to have

I understand wanting to give the locals some business, but you can get a Mynes performance Remote tune and be way better off

My next question can I install the head with stock cam and injectors and drive the car? The reason for this I would like to sell my stock head and use the cash to buy injectors and a cam. Thanks

Well this is the thing local shop charges $200 for the tune and they all sorts of exotics their so I am sure they can tune a mini. I would go with Jane but its kind of expensive. The unichip cost me near to nothing. RMW wants $350 for the box and $350 per tune. I also would have to pay $150 per hour for the Dyno. $1000 for 1 tune? I don't know if I am being cheap or is it crazy to spend that kind of cash for that.. I know I have unicip with a flux and can have up too 5 tunes and switch from them on the fly. Do you know that mynes wants for a tune? Thanks

Heads come bare. Take the shafts and arms off your old head. Rockers are big$$$$$$$$. Don't cheapen out on your tune. If the tuner hasn't done MINI's before it could cost you more in repair's down the road.

I know " Don't be cheap on the tune" If the you go to this guys shop he has a waiting list with $100k and up cars to be tuned. The least of my worries is him messing up my mini.

The head cam with Shafts no rockers.. Thanks for the info I thought they forgot to ship them

The mini DME is a pretty difficult nut to crack so to speak so just make sure they have tuned a mini before. We all know a tuned mini is a happy mini. I think you will enjoy the new head+cam+injectors

Goodluck and enjoy!

run the head on stock stuff okay but at least get the injectors soon . i ran on stock stuff for about 10000 miles . you can gasket match the intake and exhaust and this helps too . you'll want a header too.that heads gonna flow. your stock header will f it up a bit . many headers in market place . or do you have one already? it's exciting isn't it .

Man I feel like a kid on Christmas!! I got headers on order should have them in a week thanks too Rich (rpterson).

I am just full of questions.. I have seen mini madness intake manifold.. Is that something worth doing does anyone have one? It looks like the stock manifold just ported.. I was thinking of taking mine off and getting it ported to match head at the local machine shop.. Whats your thoughts??

I am having an intake manifold ported to my new head at Endyn now. I am told having them matched is a good thing

Grats on the header, modding is addictive, I was only going to do a pulley.......
