installed a dos cai

The week after buying My jcw i installed a forge fmic and noticed elimination of heatsoak.Next week I installed a madness intercooler muffler delete and a alta light crank pulley and noticed I now had Torque steer in second gear.Today the DoS CAI was installed and now traction control comes on in third gear

Cant wait for Riss Racing downpipe and exhaust to arrive Then next it is a toss up on what coilover to buy and should i wait for RMW or Alta to come out with a hand held tuner or get a custom tune.

Stig One, do email me some pics of your car. I'll be putting customer cars on the new and improved DoS site that will be up in a few months.

Happy Motoring.

Cleaning the DoS CAI

You don't replace this filter. It is a lifetime part. Instead, you clean it with a K&N filter cleaning kit. I recommend K&N Part# 99-5000.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=99-5000

Oiled filters are not the MAF sensor demons that some folks have made them out to be. They offer great flow and wonderful filtration. Just don't over-oil (or over clean) the filter. Provided that you do not live or drive in a very dusty/off-road area, cotton gauze and mesh filters have a long service interval between cleanings in normal operating conditions. OCD air filter cleanings just makes more work for you and reduces the amount of time that you could be actually driving your car.

PM or email me if you have any more questions.

I have a question Clint, should i be concerned with water getting into the intake with this part? I've read all about the Hydrophobic filter wrap. Just thought i'd ask the man himself.

Personally, I would not worry about it.

I'm offering the wrap for folks who were concerned about torrential downpours. I have customers in Florida and Missouri that have used the DoS CAI during several severe downpours with no problems!
Basically, the wrap just provides additional peace of mind.
