Need help please: P1229, P1689, P1109, P1242, P0300

OK - I installed a RMW/Newman cam yesterday and a set of 380 JCW injectors. Test drove last night twice - Holly SH&^*%&* it ran .

Today I set out to install the DT bypass valve. In the process I broke the tab on the supercharger intake tube . I tried the zip tie quick fix and thought I had it. I finished the install and following the instructions at the end reset the computer thinking I had it temp fixed until I can get a new intake tube - right - WRONG . When I started the Mini the idle was totally irratick( sp ?) it would climb then drop climb then drop and keep doing it.

I pulled the codes and got:

P1229
P1689
P1109
P1242
P0300

I am ASSUMING that ther intake tube temp fix I did is not woking and I need to replace It ???

any input will be GREATLY appreciated - I am sore, tired, and emotionally drained after spending the weekend in the garage only to have this at the end AND I am scheduled to be tuned by Jan/RMW on Friday so I need to figure this out ASAP or miss the chance of being tuned which is the whole reason for the upgrades.

can the intake tube cause all this ???????

Thanks all - I need a shower now and a beer

^ that guy is correct. the tab on the intake tube is the only thing other then the bypass valve hose that keeps it sealed to the SC inlet since its a floating seal.

Figured I would follow up on this for anyone else that searches.

My problem was the seal on the intake tube. Once I replaced it, all was GOOOOD . My advice to anyone considering/ doing the DTBPV is put the front end into service mode ( pulling the front end forward or off ) and just take the intake tube off with the upgrade/repair - it will save you the cost of the intake tube and some frustration.

One thing I learned is put the seal on the intake of the super charger first then install the tube on the seal & intake - it might help to use some lube on both the intake/seal surface and the seal/intake tube surface ,

Hope this saves someone else the headache I went through - cheers

I don't know too much about the mechanical stuff, but I am an English major, so the only thing I can say is that irratick --> erratic
