RMW in July '09 Roundel

A piece of unbiased mention of RMW by Roundel Magazine (official magazine of BMWCCA). Keep up the good work all you vendors out there.

You should all join the BMW CCA if for no other reason than to subject yourself to the journalistic gold that is Roundel (coughandBimmerLitecough). Just kidding - join for the driving schools!

hahahahahaha

Thanks for posting.

Yeah, it's worth joining BMW CCA just for the magazine.

Just ignore the monthly MINI column though. It's nothing but pure drivel....

I knew Earl Weston would show his face eventually!!!!!!!!

But yea, seriously, ignore that crap. Besides, it's not even a MINI column, just a Mini column, which we all know is w.r.o.n.g. - wrong (said in your best speak-and-spell voice).

I hear those RSR Mini's are getting a well needed shot of power for the up coming race . I'm really looking forward to seeing how they do at the next race.

Well that's great because upping the power in that series is difficult, at best. Those MINI boys need to work hard with what they've got, and they need to work harder to get the power they need to compete. As we all know, it's not a question of whether or not the MINI can make the power to compete, it's a question of if it can make it consistently and if they're ALOWED to make it. Freakin' rule mongers.

Man you are right, they were held back by the rule mongers for a long long time. They finally were allowed to use the RMW race header which gave then some much needed TQ. The new items should really help them to compete for podiums now. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they performed at the next round.

Good stuff. Randy had mentioned at the race that they were lobbying for some new go-fast parts, but that it's also a slow process with the Koni officials. So what parts are being added, or is that still secret?

They talked about it on the Speed broadcast. They just said some new items that should give them some more power to compete. I imagine it's not a secret but I will leave it up to Randy to say.

Yes I was excited to see RSR MINI on current Roundel, I am also curious as to what SPEED/KONI officials were reffering to when they mentioned RSR was gonna be "allowed more power" the next race, wonder if it will be at Three Rivers or Miller? More power to RSR and RMW, literally.

Not sure if they are going to be ready for Canada but they will be for Miller

RMW is already tuning 2 Marques in ST class, a 330i and the Mini

Soon to have a P-cars in GS

He is a great driving and was doing well right off the start in 4th place until he got penalized for a bad start. Damn it ! Can't wait to see the next races. Great work once again.

With the new found performance in the RSR Minis and the 4th place finish at Barber while running as fast or faster than the leader at the end, maybe the R in RMW stands for "RESULTS!!"

yes, that hurt, considering they went to last place and finished 7th we might have squandered a podium

The parts and TUNING that we have supplied to the team have have been flawless all year, a testament to our experience tuning TRACK cars and other Euro Marques are coming to us asking for help with engine tuning is just PROOF IN THE PUDDING.

It will be great having cars running in the GS catagory too

there are issues with trying to get power to the ground, as you can see our cars have tons of torque and blow out the 15in. tires in the corners so getting the powerband slightly higher will be a big plus

seems like 330i don't need more power, also heard turner was gonna run the short lived (2006) E90 330i with 40 more HPs (255 hp, 220 lb-ft)
