It's odd that the website says the image was posted in 2007, yet I've never seen anyone post about this until now--makes you wonder if it's a real product? Still, it *does* look badass. Not my thing, but buy one and tell us how it works!
i think weapon r is pretty cheap products. I think it may hender performance... its a metal intake tube, and i think the filter is pretty cheap... but thats just speculation. they may be great... but no ive never seen one on a mini.

They make crap for the most part. A lot of their stuff is like APC: universal. A buddy of mine made the mistake of buying an engine damper for a Miata that was a total POS. Weapon R is basically a high class APC to me. See how it's kinda polished? That means high end hosspower there.
Ah, Weapon-R. That's the Dragon short intake. Like the above said, kind of cheap and cheesy. I drive a Scion xB and not a mini, the Weapon-R stuff is hit and miss.
Weapon-R hasn't really been known for quality in the past, but at least in the Scion community they are really improving, even spawning a division called Monster Motor Works to support them.
I would suggest instead of the Dragon their Secret Weapon intake:

The picture is generic but they are custom fitted for each vehicle application, and it lists the Mini as coming with a heat shield. With the secret weapon, they do also include a flex-tube and inlet port to hook on the filter front for ram air applications. They're also now FINALLY providing dyno sheets for select parts. The Scion xB headers were dyno'd and are a 4-2-1 design, kind of hard to find for our vehicles.

I agree with some of these posts. WeaponR makes terrible products. Mostly they are universal and cheaply made. Back in high school I bought some WeaponR coilover perches for my Mr2 and they didn't even come close to fitting. It took weeks to get a refund too because their customer service is terrible. STEER CLEAR!
As I've said, it's hit or miss at the moment. I have the secret weapon intake, as do a lot of other Scion owners, and that one is decent, on par with Fujita, Injen, and AEM. The strut bar I ordered, however, was about 1/8" too short on the inner lip between the towers and needed some modification to fit.
