Bang for the buck - get the SSSSSSSSSSWWWWAY BAR !

Catch can to me is just bling ...

And your MINI's OEM ignition and wires are just as good as any of that aftermarket stuff. Again, to me just more bling.

Get the hollow 25mm bar, from all opinions I have read here, they rock and is next on my list. lb for lb, the best mod on your short list above.

read the post, folks. he said, "sway bar drop links" not sway bar. his sig shows that he has an aftermarket sway bar.

drop links are only necessary/useful if the car has been lowered with coilovers or lowering springs. they allow one to eliminate sway bar pre-load. if still at stock suspension height, these will do nothing. great to have if you plan to lower the car at some point.

not too keen on the other stated possibilities. i'll think about it and post again.

Since you already have a sway bar, and I had to choose one of those 3, i'd go with the catch can

If only choice is your list then, catch can. An alternate to your list, how about something from Whalen, a shift **** or I just got his E-brake handle, it's looks very nice

Why would you just replace drop links ?

I just added the DetroitTuned BPV and I am extremely happy with it. This car responds so well to mods compared to other cars I have owned. I am now going to start looking into more handling and suspension mods. I can't stop! Help me!

I agree with onasled, how about some track time. After that you'll probably have a new list of mods you want though!!! brakes, camber plates, tires, etc..

I am planning on putting coil overs on the car this summer if i ever go back on the rail road. been furloughed since November so funds are running kinda low, hence the cheap mods listed above

Remember what I said about the coil and wires?
If you really want to add something, I'd say go for the Catch Can, but I agree with onasled. Track Time is Fun Time!!

Happy Birthday!!

Thankfully, still after 4 years on NAM, the same old people keep issuing the same old wisdom. I think it's even stickied somewhere, but perhaps not. But it's value doesn't seem to increase with repetition.
If only mods had ratings and context, then newbies could just look up a table: eg I have a pulley and runflats, what should I get next for a track day? Oh, tires is the answer.

Track time costs me $80 a day, but there's just not enough available days here. There was one last Sunday and I had a total blast. I don't really need the thousands of dollars of mods (both good and bad) I've done to my car to enjoy the track, but I'm trying to outspend my wife...
Sometimes I can't understand where people get their ideas. I was talking with a guy yesterday who was obsessed about getting a new IC. I just couldn't find the words (that didn't include useless, waste, rubbish, carp, etc.) to convince him there were much better things on which to spend his money. A bottle of Dom would even be better...

Oh, Phil.....wise words today.

I of course want a intercooler, now I have not convinced myself of the gains I will see but yours looks awesome

I will be heading to the track this weekend, maybe after that I will be convinced to get some coilovers.

OP, get whatever you think is going to make you happy.

But Danny, I wasn't talking about you... Once you have a certain amount, type and level of mods, an intercooler change, or a water-meth system, or something might be a great mod.
Honestly, my IC works very well (as testified by measurements I have posted and which continue to be impressive) mainly because my modified scoop has a mouth area 4x that of a stock scoop! Airflow through the IC has been optimized also.

We should now return to normal transmission, I'm sorry.

dr.phil: your earlier post was both very funny and very true.

to the OP: there are many things that you can do to your MINI for $200 or less....tinted tail lights, chrome/de-chrome anything, many lighting options, short shift kit, shift ****, carbon fiber bits.....spend some time looking through the multiple MINI sites (don't forget to support our vendors). let us know what you choose. happy birthday.

Save the $200. Jan from RMW is coming to town for a huge 3-day tuning event. Save a little more and get a tune .

Yeah but how do you get the bottle of Dom to shoot into the IC to cool the airflow at just the right time?

So I drink the Dom, then regurgitate (like Rico the penguin), and spit into the throttle body...
Oh, that won't work

I take my suggestion back, then. But I'll still choose fine French champagne over an aftermarket IC, sorry.
