where did you put the pump and reservoir for your water meth system? it looks like you have a tube coming from the rear of the car?

Probably the wiper fluid reservoir since it has a pump with a low level indicator on the tach.

Thats right..I put there because its very easy for installation and you can see when the level of water meth is low..

The pump is hidden to the compartment next to the battery..
My pump is smaller than yours and it fitted perfectly..

Its working great. I was having a hard time because the instructions where a little off. Now that I have it figured out, thanks to Jeff, and Chris at Alta. It is great. On my stock ecu map, I can still notice an improvement. The difference is before it would start to run out of steam a little over 5k rpm (as we all know) Now the water\meth kicks in around 3500 or 4000 rpm and there is no more power loss, it seems to continue to give good power all the way to redline. Infact it has a little jump or boost when it kicks in, it just feals stronger with the water\meth flowing. not like nitro but a little.

Still no real dyno results... But now when I do get a tune oh, ya

Nice Numbers! The other guys on a diff post are trying to say that the conversion isnt the best bang for the dollar. Looks like you just proved my argument that it is!

It will hit that number here in the U.S. We just need someone with mod to show up to one of the local tuners and start hacking out what needs to be done.

215kw is roughly 292bhp

at 20% drivetrian loss that would be 233.6whp.

What is our average drivetrain loss? Is it 11% roughly?

11% drivetrane loss would be 259.88whp

Mariomllr that is very close to what you are doing you have to take into consideration the dyno used and the conditions. Temp elevation ect. Slight differences in the car and the tune.

That was done on a Maha dyno....

They operate a little bit differently than you typical dyno, but are known to be VERY accurate. They are also crazy expensive...it is the same dyno that most of the European car manufacturer's use at their testing facilities.

After the run, it will calculate drivetrain loss over the entire rev range, as the rollers slow the cars wheels down. That's what that straight green line is at the bottom...a plot of the drivetrain loss in horsepower. Drivetrain loss is not a static value across the entire rev range...it increases as RPM increases, and varies from one car to another car. Saying "this car has an 11% drivetrain loss" doesn't really mean a whole lot of anything.

kW is not wheel horsepower....its just a different unit of measurement of measuring power.

On this dyno sheet, there is no wheel horsepower. The blue line says it is, but it isn't....there are 2 ways to run the car on a Maha that will either produce crank horsepower or just wheel horsepower. This was done to show crank horsepower only.

So what are the actual numbers here? 18% really dang! I knew its not static and it also has to do with other factors. Is that with the stock runflats and rims?

mariomllr,

Are you stateside? Do you have a dyno graph we can take a look at also? The 28rs is the setup I am looking to get.

Dont forget that i am running a gt2560r and you
a gt28rs which is a little bit bigger than mine

a maha dyno has lot of differences than the dynos in US

the most important thing is how the car is running and its quite fast!!

I am glad that you pulled those numbers but i dont believe that unichip
is perfect for big turbos!!

There are many ecu softwares recommended for a tuned mini
with an oem turbocharger!!
If you have installed a turbo kit then i believe that you search a lot to find
a good tuner!!
Mine is a greek tuner who managed to reprogram my mini
in 3 hours!!
One on the road and two on the dyno!!

I am still holding out for the unichip to come through. they are making a dedicated website for the mini tuners as they have done for other cars so hopefully when we can put our heads together we will come up with higher numbers. I am sure they should be better because I had 220whp before the bigger turbo and even untuned at 14psi the bigger turbo was burning off the tires right through second.
