Crackle? Sound

I swear it's coming from the Throttle Body or Intake somehow. Only when I step on it and get 2/3 of the throttle I ask for.....it starts to make a crackley sound.

Anyone familiar with this one? Getting on the throttle hard....towards the top well before the shift point......cak cak cak crackle....shift..it's gone.... At first I thought engine ping, but I always put 91 in.

I'd say pinging....it will still ping with 91...91 sucks! Put some 100 octane in and see what it does...that will let u know

Yeah drive to another state and get some 93. What do you have in your car for mods?

The usual suspects. 15%, CAI, Catback, MSD, Brisk12s. Tune.....

I am always leery of "additives" but what about just some straight octane booster? Is there a preferred brand?
