Gatorback belt directional?

I bought a gatorback belt to go with my 15% pulley. the ribs are not symmetrical as they run in a diagonal pattern. Does this mean its directional? i looked on the package and the belt and saw no indications that it was. I dont see why they would be...however im gettin major slippage after putting it on today. its either directional or maybe the DT tensioner stop that i may have put on wrong.
