This is how I data log:

software:

http://www.palmerperformance.com/pro...2534/index.php

hardware:

http://www.tactrix.com/product_info.php?products_id=49

Will set you back about $300, but you can talk OBD to just about everything... datalog, read, reset CEL's, even gives road dyno.

There is also open source tools referenced on the tactrix page.

If you need any help setting up, or working with any that stuff let me know, been using it for a few years now.

Yea, those things are pretty cool in reading data. I borrowed my brother's scantool to reset CEL I had gotten from a boost leak. It displays everything about the engine, its very handy. This is the one I used also.http://http://obddiagnostics.com/

Back to the topic!! You made everything yourself? I see it says Alta on it though.

so what became of this idea? Why isn't alta and other companies making this tube to help eleminate the rather aggresive bend in the plastic piping? It seems it could be a major contriction, especially after all the money put into the other boost tubes and bigger FMIC's, etc.

I agree, someone should make this...one plumbing adjustment may not be a big performance boost, but all the plumbing being changed to unrestricted bigger pipes...thats a different story

the major problem when you change all thoes pipes and make them bigger is lag ,your low end will suffer in torque the turbo need to work harder to full up thoes bigger pipes, but you will get more mid range and hi end power, now a bigger turbo of course it no issue you want them bigger

Umm...how many threads does this project need?

Can we keep it all in one place please and not have bits of it blown about the forums.

I didn't think the aftermarket boost tubes were that much bigger than OEM, just smoother and with less goofy resinator parts etc. IF it is like that though, won't a tune be able to increase boost to "fill up" the bigger tubes.

I did not make the pipes bigger than stock. What I did was to change from rubber to metal. BY doing this your boost actually goes up because the rubber hoses swell up causing you to loose boost. On the neon by replacing 2 pieces of pipe 12" long that are rubber I picked up 1.5PSi. On the mini the ecu might correct and adjust to lower the boost though. REgardless the tturbo will not work as hard and your lag will go down and the throttle will be chrisper.

No, its about volume. Restriction= more velocity and less flow, but more torque. It most definitely is not about velocity.

Can you please post your datalogs or SOMETHING factual? If you had ONE post (other than the not full throttle dynos with no air/fuel) that contained some USEFUL data, it would make your postwhoring nearly worthwhile. C'mon man, 4+ threads and no real data? A message board is for spreading information, not claiming to do things yourself (like when you said you make the silicone couplers and aluminum tubing yourself, didn't provide a source). How about the hood cut that theres no picture of? You keep saying things and not backing them up. Please provide DATA to people. Is that so much to ask?
