R56 dynos - help needed

Hi. Im having slight issues with mt R56 S. If anyone has any Dyno's of thier R56 S when it was standard could you please post them up, as i would like to have a few to compare against once i get mine done, as im sure its still lacking in power since the new engine. I need the full print out as well as the result so i can see the power curve as i think my BHP throughout the entire rev range is out, so need to compare per 500 REVS.

Thanks. Guys.

Here's mine stock...keep in mind it was done in Phoenix during the summer time, so it was pretty hot.

I had another done when it was cooler out, the numbers were higher, I can't find it though. Also, that is at the wheels...i noticed your asking about BHP, so multiply by about 13%...give or take.

Here's the dyno from my '07 MCS when it was stock:

DynaPacks will read optimistic a few percent and Mustangs will read low as much as 14%.

Also don't forget to SMASH the throttle to induce overboost.

It's in all of MINI's maps for the Cooper S, I've not seen a stock graph without it. I think even the JCW has it. I think it might be for motorway cruising, 3k in top is about 70mph I believe. For fuel economy and emissions I would of thought.

Just a note.. only compare against Dynojets... Dynojets are pretty close no matter where you go. But Mustang Dyno's, Dyno Dynamics and other models have some "configuration" possibilities that allow dyno operators to alter the numbers. Dynjets are your best for "comparison" but in reality, you should never compare your dyno with another.

I thought it was just the Overboost turning off. On my graph you can quite clearly see the overboost and then it returns to normal boost and it dips a little bit at 3k

Overboost doesnt shut off that quickly...

I'm too tired to remember exactly how long it lasts, but it should last for most of the dyno run.

Thanks for this information. I have set up a MINI DYNO day in Norwich, CT. on March 28th. This is good stuff!!! I am interested to see how the MINIS do. Thanks for the tip on mashing the throttle for the overboost.

The original '07 ECU program dipped boost there, hence the dip in torque output. The newer ECU program has a more rational boost curve, at the expense of area under the curve. On all programs, Overboost tapers out over 4500 RPM, FYI.
