Has anyone installed the B&M short shifter on their MCS 6-speed? Considered installing on my incoming MCS. Sells for around $125, includes new shift **** also. Any feedback would be appreciated. Considered the Whalen Shift Machine machined **** also.

there have been several threads on this... Check out this one:

But to answer your question, I have it installed on my MCS 6spd and I love it. Great quality product. It works with the Whalen, stock or B&M ****. All Short shift kits are a pain to install, you will need to get under the car and disconnect the exhaust to gain access to the shift assembly cables... I waited and upgraded my exhaust at the same time.

I had mine installled 2 days ago. Mark and the crew at Foriegn Affairs took care of it while I waited. It took about an hour. The results are great. Much tighter and more percise. And, becuase they did it ... I didn't break a thing. Highly recommend the B&M and Foriegn Affairs.

Hey,

Pilo Racing just recieved our stock of BM Shifters, We did the install tonight, took about 1.5 hours, next time should take about 30-45 minutes. It is a great mod, but I do recomend that you have mechanical experience when doing this. Check out http://www.thepilo.com for ordering information. We will be posting some tricks to installing the shifter tomorrow once we put our data together.

Thanks
Dan

I have the promini version of the B&M installed today and it works great. Much lower than stock- about 1.75 inches and positive feel. Requires more effort to shift- still easy but shorter throws. Reverse is OK. The look is shorter- noticable. I have a momo shift **** and it works fine. Overall very nice. About an hour or two install. Cost about $125. I really like it.
