hello, i have the alta 3" catback and i was wondering if i get a downpipe without the cat will the CEL come on?

 

No unless you trick the ECU into thinking there is still a CAT there. There are miles of threads on this...

Actually the correct answer is NO

It seems alot of the more expensive decats are causing CELs to come on. I have had the Ragazzon decat downpipe fitted for 3 months and havent had a single CEL come on

If your after decent performance gains without CELs then the Ragazzon is the only dp i know of that doesnt cause CELs. I made a thread about it when i fitted it : https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...pe-fitted.html

Have a read and see what you think but for the price i paid (200euros plus delivery) its well worth it.
