Ragazzon Competition Downpipe fitted

Hi! I just got my new Downpipe fitted today. It removes so much restriction from the exhaust and fits perfectly. I have drove around 50 miles today and havent had one CEL come on so in that repsect its even better

Its a full decat downpipe so it does add a nice little throatyness to the milltek back section i have (which in my opinion is quite a quiet exhaust, even when at WOT) and i hope to have the milltek resonator out by tomorrow for the extra snap, crackle and pop. There is definetly good power increases all over the revs, 'good' being a huge understatement And it cost me 200Euros including delivery so i am extremely pleased with the quality, performance, sound and the price.

Here are a couple pics to show the comparison etc (Red arrow = Ragazzon) :

Still none whatsoever Ive done roughly 250 miles since last thursday when i got it fitted and it truly is an amazing piece of kit! And the sound from the exhaust gets more beautiful the more i drive. I hope to be on a good dyno soon so will post it up asap.

If i get a cel i will let everyone know. Fingers crossed though.

Did you feel immediately the better performance after the fit of your downpipe??? or it must wait some miles for the ECU "learn" this change???

I have this parts in my box and I wait to fit on my car but I haven't so much time in this days...also I'm a little curious....

What will you do with your O2 sensor??? If I keep it "by open air" will be light a CEL???

Hi

I did feel an immediate performance increase however over the last week each day i have drove my car the sound gets better and the performance you can tell gets a little better each time and im sure thats down to it being a new part that needs worn in a little and like you say perhaps the ecu adapting..

Once you get yours on you will love it Sound and performance are outstanding!

I have both my 02 sensors plugged back in. I was advised by the people who fitted it for me that i may need a secondary 02 sensor adaptor but as of one week on from having it fitted i have no cels at all
Im not sure what would happen if you left your 02 sensors out in 'open air' technically you shouldnt get any cels however i would recommend you plug your 02 sensors back in as it doesnt cause any problems for me. What spec of car do you have EU or US?

K@rtm@n - It will fit perfect onto the OEM exhaust and im sure it will give it a more sporty sound With lovely performance increases! The OEM exhaust is fine for the job as its the OEM downpipe that is the really restrictive part. Let us know how you get on!! If your fitting yourself then try take some pictures

got.pho? - I hope it works the same on the US cars as it does on mine, i cant think of a reason why it wouldnt however you never know with this ECU

I forget who said it or where I heard it, but I've heard of MINI's even passing emissions without a cat. Dunno how true that is, but I know they've engineered them to be very low on emissions. This would explain why the O2 sensor is not immediately being tripped when the cat is taken out...

I cant understand it either I think luck is a big factor but when you fit yours we will know for sure as if you get no CELs then thats 2 people with the ragazzon (catless downpipe) fitted (that i know of) getting no CELs which means its all down to the pipe and not my car.. I hope you have the same luck as me

The guy that fitted it for me said i would prob need a secondary O2 sensor adaptor if i got any CELs but touch wood i wont need one ever
