MiniPOLACK. I apologize. Sorry if I offended anyone here. Just trying to clear up the pricing issues.

I remember someone letting us know about the issue with the web site. BY ALL MEANS I would certainly be willing to sell you a system at that price. A complete misunderstanding on our part.

Everyone that ordered a system in advance of the change to normal price was given that price. The reason for the introductory price was to get some systems in the hands of customers. What happened is I almost ran out of systems and we decided to put the price at the normal ongoing price point now.

Thanks for understanding, Pete

I just ordered one and felt they did have good customer service and prompt turnaround. I plan on posting my feedback once installed. So far, so good. You should try calling Pete if you haven't already.

Stratmosphere...thanks for clearing the issue. I sent you that email on Thanksgiving day regarding your website not being up to working condition. Thanks for back tracking the emails we wrote to one another and eventually changing your decision about the price. I take back what i said about the customer service. They are A+, next test, the product

I purchased one and had it installed yesterday so I don't have a lot of time with it yet. However it is so sweet sounding - finally my Mini sounds like it should.

Nice low throaty burbly sound... Just the right amount of sound level at the right times.

I live just north of their location - so I had the added bonus of having the guy (John) who actually designed and made the system install it for me. Got a tour of their facilities from the owner. Great bunch of people - fun to talk to. Afterward we played "geek" with our iPhones.

I ordered it online during their discount period - so the entire thing cost me ~$625 including tax and installation... A deal and a half...

Really I couldn't be happier with it - I would have to say this is the system for the Mini.

Couldn't agree more You're lucky that you are so close and had the opportunity to have them install for you

Dwp2659- I would love to hear that exhaust as I'm thinking of ditching my custom catback. My grandparents actually live in greece and I'll be up there just after xmas. Will you be around?

Strat is prolly w/in 2 miles of my ex's house too, coincidentally.

DWP - How is the interior noise level? Can you hear the growl when you step on it with the windows up? and can you feel any performance gain?

Is there anything coming out for the Clubman S?

I really like this exhaust! Unique in design and it sounds great (in fact, it should even sound better on EU-spec models with the burble en crackle)

i just came back from a trip from poconos and back to NYC....ummmm, its a bit louder then i anticipated ...im in the works either with stratmosphere or my friend at TyrolSport for different tips design, either same style but diameter will be smaller ( maybe 2.5" each) or same size tips ( are they 3"? , if not look for 3" but with resonators )...my rear seats are removed, so on the way to poconos, i stopped by lowes ( in PA already) and picked up about 5 pieces of styrofoam blocks and made a quick ghetto style fill up underneath the erar seat delete kit and the tool sotrage area ( the little rectangular space in the trunk underneath the carpet) and i noticed a pretty nice difference in sound on the inside just from that , im thinking about taking the rear boot apart and putting some of the styrofoam in there too....im pretty sure folks with rear seats still intact experience way lower decibel levels that me...besides the interior volume of the exhaust, the sound of the system is ///azing , very beautiful growl, reminds me very much of the growl that rally cars produce

as you know tips are the last component of the exhaust system, meaning you can fine tune the sound of the exhaust by switching between sizes. As far as performance , the car opens up nicely, i havent had the chance to get together with my arch enemy yet ( e46 m3 ) and not to mention weather sucks a bit , but ill definitely try to use my dynolicious on my iphone to see if it picks up any differences , so far it noted about 195hp right prior the exhaust install, ill try to run few times tomorrow to see if theres difference.....

actually I didn't know that. So you are saying just the tips (meaning the last 6 inches or so of the exhaust pipe) can make a big difference in the sound? So what is the formula - bigger tips=louder or softer??

ofcourse louder, especially if they are single wall ( take a wine glass and strike it lightly with metal fork , high pitch? ) well, tip walls, same thing but deep base, resonance , etc. Double wall tips are better, but , resonated double wall are the best. Back in the days i had a 1990 Ford Probe GT Turbo, and i had a 3" full exhaust , and the "tip" portion of the system was a .....stack pipe from the Peterbuilt truck ( 5" diameter by 36" long) WOW......sound was 3 times as throaty , but damn it , was it loud....and after 6 prototypes, well, its a long story....its all about the size and material too ( titanium is the thinnest, lightest, but also makes the most noise or is the loudest)

very interesting info...so you are going to try and go a little quieter with smaller tips or a resonated larger tip?

i actually just found a couple of hooker tips. outside diameter is about the same as inside diameter of Stratmos tips. ill probably try these for now.

i am also waiting on Petes feedaback aswell, since he went through 16 prototypes of this exhaust, maybe he tried similar tips before??

so again, smaller tips to reduce the noise, is it really that loud inside...I'm getting a litter nervous since I just ordered one a few days ago. I do plan on keeping the backseat so I'm hoping it won't be as loud as yours! I don't want to go insane on the daily commute!

just judging by the video, it sounds like its pretty loud. which is awesome in my opinion

I know my Invidia is louder in person than it sounded on video...so if this is the case here, I'm sure its got a nice amount of volume to it!

Also, tips really don't make that much difference. They can slightly alter the tone, but really nothing big.
