Has anyone else found the computer inside MINI is easily fooled, or better, confused?

When I upgraded my seat (as in, unplugged the wiring) I had all sorts of electrical stuff going on inside the cabin. The electric doors wouldn't work from the remote. Then they would lock just on closing. The door lock switch on the dash didn't work. The interior lights would stay on, forever.

After perhaps 3-4 days, they seemed to correct themselves and all is well now.

Yesterday I replaced the H7 non-xenon bulbs, and now my driving lights don't work. The bulbs do. When I hit high beams they work, but not stand alone.

Should this correct itself too?

First off, there are many computers inside the MINI, as many as 20 different ones, depending on equipment level. Next, if you disconnect your battery, it may take some time for automated window functions to operate, since the pinch protection must be relearned. Finally, it sounds like you have wired something incorrectly with your new lights.
