Maybe it's the Hartley Hayabusa V8 w/ bi-turbo adapted for the MCS. Normally aspirated it's ~400 - 450 HP & spins to 10K rpm so imagine it w/ the turbos!
Well, I've seen some people use the TVS r1320 on stock Cobalt SS boosting 20+ pounds of boost and making around 300-350whp. I'm sure with Jan's 2.0 engine combo, you can almost be sure to make that much or more and all down low unlike the rotrex.

Yeah, but Rotrex's are more efficient and don't run out of air like Whipple chargers do in the higher RPM band. All down to tuning and preferance, I guess. Both, I'm sure, could be made to do either/or. It just depends which one you want because both excel at given characteristics.
Here's a good, but short, read on how Whipple's make stupid amounts of low end power. Interesting how it says the teamed with Lysholm "to create a bigger screw supercharger that moves more air—a bunch more. " http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/w...est/index.html
700 ft-lbs from 355CI's is territory.

if im not mistaken, arent whipples more effecient as far as amount of heat produced?

Not sure. You very well could be. I guess "efficient" was not the best way to word it. I guess I should have said I think a Rotrex would be a better choice as a high-RPM unit over a Whipple/screw type blower. Here's another good article to check out. Someone I'm sure will come in here set this straight. http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tec...ers/index.html
Yep, you were right. I retract my previous statement.
Between 1986-1988 in the U.S. Norm Drazy painstakingly developed a large screw-type supercharger, using a four-lobe male rotor and a six-lobe female rotor (turning 30% slower), called the PSI, hoping to introduce it to Top Fuel drag racing. In dyno testing, the 385 cu. in. prototype PSI made the same horsepower (1260 on alcohol) at 28 pounds of boost as a 14-71 (552 cu. in.) at 36 psi; plus the outlet temperature of the PSI was 85 degrees compared to the 150 for the 14-71.
with real flames coming from the exhaust Of course custom paint job in SiG
Thats not new ? have that on my mini for some time. And paint comes this year
Luys "come on Jan give us a clue. new oil cooler???Today 10:11 AM"
I would guess with Jan if he can't show a hp gain he is not going to offer it
daegertermaybe "its a tank of 120octane jetfuel complete with ecu remapping"
JP fuels for Jets are basically diesel. At this point I have not seen Jan doing any R56 tunes so I don't think there will be any diesel tunes in the near future.
This is a very effective advertising ploy to pre-sell a new product from one of his suppliers
